shits / no fucks). Vinyl is preferred. Please do not
send MP3 CDs, CD-Rs with sharpies written on them, or unlabeled
CDs (people are out there hustling and it's best if you present
your material professionally - just a friendly tip). Also please
provide any contact information, press kits, or info on you.

Basementalism
is a strong supporter of the Colorado Hiphop Scene. We have
an open door policy with new music and we'd be happy to enter
it into our library of local music. We can not guarantee airplay,
but we do look hard to find those who represent our square state
the best.
The process goes submit your music, make contact with
us, and if we like what we hear we will have you come in to our
show for as a local guest (we feature one to two local guests
a week every Saturday from 6-7pm on Radio1190AM). From there it
all depends on your quality of music, professional manner,
and the relationship built between you and Basementalism.
Please do NOT expect us to just start booking you for shows,
give you money, or play your tracks. We are working with as many
groups as humanly possible and try and support as many groups as
possible, but in no way can we work with EVERYONE, manage people,
or get you signed to a label or anything like that. (Believe it
or not Colorado has many groups and emcees, and we work hard to
try and bring that scene cohesively together).
We can however offer you access to resources we have available,
play your tracks if we like it, give you local exposure,
and keep you in mind for future Basementalism events / shows.

If you are a local Colorado DJ and
would like to audition for Basementalism please send us a
60 minute mix CD of what you consider underground hip-hop. We look
for DJs who can mix, and have a good selection of hip-hop. Newer
underground / indie hip-hop is favored, however we look for someone
who can mix good hip-hop.
Please provide a tracklisting, and whether the mix CD was
recorded LIVE or multitracked.
